With its inception in the year of the tiger and a love of dance, it had to be Cat Dancing. The "Productions" aspect came about during a phase of volunteer work at a local public access TV sation and the production of an award-winning documentary about the Zydeco musical instrument, the scrubboard.
The dancing cat image was obtained many, many years ago from a T-shirt purchase at a harvest festival in Half Moon Bay, CA. The T-shirt has long since worn out, but the design was salvaged and reborn with this CDP website. The wonderful graphic, "Gotta Dance," was created by Rebecca Lee Baldwin.
In consideration of many users who still use dial-up connections, we've tried in most places to keep the number of graphics and other fancy dancing bear animations to a minimum so web pages will load faster. We've also tried to be consistent about labeling the graphics, so you'd at least know what they are in case you didn't want to wait for them to load.
